The pro-government forces, backed by the popular resistance, advanced on Thursday in the al Mutun district west of al-Jawf province, northeastern Yemen, after heavy fighting against the Houthi militants and Saleh forces.
The spokesman of the pro-government forces Abdullah al-Ashraf wrote on Facebook that the government forces have taken control of the al Warsh farm, and fierce fighting was still flaring between the two sides, while a number of Houthi militants were surrounded in one of the houses in the farm.
Al Ashraf pointed out that the pro-government forces advancement came after waging an offensive on the militias’ sites west of Mazwaih area, from two directions.
