Child injured by Houthi sniper a day after another girl was killed – source

A 10-year-old girl, Shatha Abdullah, was seriously wounded when a Houthi sniper opened the fire on her in the Wadi Sala area east of Taiz city in southwestern Yemen, a local source said.

 

The source added that the Houthis are going on targeting with artillery shelling the civilians, including children, in the residential neighborhoods from their positions in al-Salal and Sofitel hills in a daily scene.

 

The Houthi sniper had shot the girl while playing with her brother”.

 

On Saturday, two-year-old Lian Maher was killed in Sinah area, southwest of Taiz, by anti-aircraft fire fired by the Houthis-Saleh forces stationing at the 50th Street north of the city.

 

Ritaj Abrar Mohammed, 6, was also shot dead by a Houthi sniper last Friday in the outskirts of the Kadaha area.

 

A report conducted by the Relief Coalition in Taiz said that 104 civilians were killed and 257 others wounded in April by bullets and mortar shells of the Houthis-Saleh militiamen, including five dead and 12 wounded children.
