A local source in the Alselw district south of Taiz province in southwestern Yemen, said on Sunday that the pro-government forces had withdrawn from all positions seized on Saturday, following an attack waged by the Houthis-Saleh forces.
The source told Almasdaronline that the pro-government forces retreated to the village of Siretin, and withdrew from the villages of Alsharaf, Alhoud Alsayyar, Almoenah, Amaq, and Alsheeb in a short time, without fighting the Houthis and allied forces.
“There were limited clashes, and the Houthis took control of all the villages,” the source said.
Earlier on Saturday, the pro-government forces took control of all the villages, and announced that Alselw district was fully secured, and six soldiers were killed and more than 10 others wounded.
