Five Houthi insurgents and three soldiers of government forces On Wednesday were killed during clashes in scattered areas of Taiz province. 

A military source told Almasdaronline that govt. forces succeeded in taking full control over Saliheen hill in the area of Shaqqab ,following violent fighting with Houthi militants in the south of Taiz province, adding that 2 Houthis and a soldier were killed in the clashes. 

 Meanwhile,govt. forces fended off Houthi offensive on positions in Hawd-Sayar village of Solw district southern the city.
