Eyewitnesses said that confrontations broke out Saturday evening between gunmen and the security forces in Khor Maksar district in Aden city, the interim capital of Yemen.
The eyewitnesses told Almasdaronline that the gunmen had held a protest in al Orood square demanding death penalty for the suspected of killing the security director of Rasad district, Hussein Quamta, who was killed last week by the security forces.
The sources added that the security forces opened fire in the air, and then toward the gunmen, In return, the gunmen shoot back, while military vehicles were deployed, and warplanes flew over the city.
The clashes had stopped amid pre cautious tension between the two parties. The eyewitnesses noted.
