Taiz - three civilians killed in landmine explosion, government forces repel Houthis attack


A local source said that three civilians from one family were killed in a landmine explosion planted by the Houthis-Saleh forces in al Mubthil village of al Wazeiyah district western Taiz city.


The source told Almasdaronline that the civilians were Abdullah Zamit al Hayqi, Hani Salem Ali al Hayqi and Reza Thabet Awad al Hayqi.


In another context, the government forces repelled early Saturday violent attacks of the Houthis-Saleh forces on the air defense camp, the 50th Street and adjacent neighborhoods, western the city.


A military source said that fierce fighting took place between the two parties at those sites, as the Houthis launched heavy artillery shelling on the government forces sites.


But, the government forces repelled the attack, and prevented the Houthis from advancing, resulting in the killing of two Houthis-Saleh militants, and wounding others, also many of the government forces soldiers were wounded.
