The media center of the Fifth Military region posted Thursday on Facebook site that the well-known Houthi leader Ibrahim Abdullah al Muayad, son of the Civil Service Deputy Minister in the Houthis government, was killed with a number of his companions in an air raid by the Saudi-led Arab coalition aircrafts in Marzaq Abs area of Hajjah province front, northwestern Yemen.
The center added that the air raid targeted al Muayad when he was on the way to Alab front in Saada province, the Houthis stronghold, far north of Yemen, after attending a meeting with some Houthis leaders in the Yemeni border with Saudi Arabia.
The incident comes days after the killing of Houthis field commanders in Haradh and Midi fronts by air raids and battles against the government forces.
