An officer and three soldiers from the government forces and a civilian have been killed by snipers from the Houthis group and forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, east of Taiz city, southwestern Yemen.
A military source told Almasdaronline that a Houthi sniper stationed near the central security camp shot on Lieutenant Colonel Mahfouz Al-Riyashi in Al-Zahra district of Kalaba district killing him immediately.
He added that soldiers tried to pull the body of the officer Riyashi, but the Houthi snipers shot them killing the three, Mu'taz al-Sharabi, Mohammed Saeed al-Hammadi and Saddam Mohammed al-Hammadi.
On the one hand, a civilian named Yasser Muhammad Haidara was killed by another sniper in al Diba neighborhood, eastern the city.
In another context, the Saudi-led Arab coalition aircrafts launched two air raids on reinforcements for the Houthi militants, eastern Yakhla area, northern al Mocha district west of Taiz province, resulted in the killing of five Houthis and wounding seven others. According to field source.
