A member of the Economic Committee accuses the bank and the Government of abandoning their duties regarding the collapse of the Riyal

A member of the economic Committee formed by President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, Ahmed Ghaleb, on Sunday accused the Yemeni government and the central bank of Yemen of abandoning their duties to address the collapse of the riyal to record levels.

The former head of the IRS, in his blog post on Facebook, said the government and the bank were relying on Saudi Arabia instead of dealing with the economy, which led to the collapse of the currency, adding that he was "the one who relies on the cooking of its  neighbor will remain  hungry".

He said that what happened was unforgivable, and "relying on the other and just waiting with the masses of the people who lost all their tricks and means, folly."

The economic expert, one of the most important economic cadres in Yemen, said the time of miracles is no more.

The Yemeni riyal continued to collapse in the market and the dollar price in Aden, the interim capital (southern Yemen), reached 640 riyals, accompanied by a significant rise in commodity prices.
