Government forces control villages and sites near al-Houthi stronghold in Sa'dah

The government forces supported by the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia on Tuesday evening took control of on villages and areas in the directorates of al-Zahir , Bakil Almir and Razeh in the border with Saudi Arabia (northern Yemen).

A military source and a government official in al-Orobah brigade, told Almasdar online that battles were fierce in the directorates, following an attack by their forces on the positions of al-Houthi militants.

He noted that the government forces took control of the areas of the Al Juraib, the Souq al-“ola, the Merbah, Al Mujrm, um Dahhim, Ja’wan, Goufel and Naqara after the Houthis withdrew.

He noted that these areas are located on the southern side of of Marran, the stronghold of al-Houthi and its point of the start since the beginning of the war against the Yemeni government in mid-2004.

According to the government military source, the Arab coalition fighters carried out intensive raids on al-Houthi positions in those districts, resulting in scores of Houthis killed and wounded, without providing a specific toll.
