Renewed aerial bombardment and fighting between Houthis and government forces south of Hodeidah

Fierce fighting erupted Thursday between militants of the al-Houthi group and government forces backed by Saudi-led Arab coalition fighters on the southern main road of the city of Hodeidah (western Yemen).

The Al-Masdar online correspondent said that the battles were renewed between the two sides at the Arc de Triomphe, with the Houthis trying to recover the sites they lost over the past two days, and they launched massive attacks on the Giants ' forces.

He added that the battles broke out near the airport circle, near the city, while confrontations continued at the Arc de Triomphe for hours before stopping.

Since the dawn of the day, the southern region of the city of Hodeidah has witnessed a lull in fighting, before it erupted again.

In conjunction with the outbreak of hostilities, the Saudi Arabian coalition fighters launched raids on the Houthi positions in the vicinity of the Kilo 16 circle  and the guard camp near the area.
