Yemeni government delegation arrives in Geneva to participate in negotiations

The delegation of the legitimate Government arrived in Geneva on Wednesday to participate in negotiations with the Houthi militia, under the auspices of the United Nations.

The government delegation arrived in Geneva on Wednesday, a day before the talks were launched, a source told Almasdar online.

Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, director of the presidential office, said the Yemeni government is committed to the deadlines, in an effort to serve the Yemeni people.

"These consultations, like other previous rounds, are basically aimed at examining ways and mechanisms to implement UN Security Council resolution 2216 and its objectives of ending the coup d'état, restoring the state, disarming the militia and resuming the political process of the references and without it will be neither peace nor stability," he said in a tweet.
