Military Source: The package that killed two soldiers in Shabam Hadramawt was remotely detonated by telephone

An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded at Shabam Hadramawt (eastern Yemen) last Wednesday and was remotely detonated by a mobile phone, a military source said.

An improvised explosive device exploded in the city of Shibam Hadramawt last Wednesday, killing two government soldiers who tried to dismantle the bomb.

According to Al-Masdar online, the investigation revealed that the killing of the two soldiers in the city of Shabam, two days ago, while trying to dismantle an explosive device was caused by the remote detonation, which exploded before the soldiers started dismantling it.

Al-Qaeda operatives have been active in the city of Shabam, which is now witnessing assassinations of military, security and tribal figures.
