Saudi Ambassador: we provided 1.5 billion dollars to UN organizations and they spend only 40%

The Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al Jaber has said on his Twitter page that his Gov, and UAE provided 1.5 billion USD to the united nation organization and they spent only 40% of it.

"Al- Jabber" added, in addition to  $500 million announced earlier this month, and deposited $2.2 billion USD to  Central Bank of Yemen led to the improvement of Yemeni riyal and provided petroleum to power plants ".

This came in response to the United Nations calls to provide $4 billion to finance a plan to meet the growing humanitarian needs in Yemen during the coming year 2019.

Yemen's humanitarian crisis compounded with the continuing war that began four years ago between Houthis rebels and Government backed by Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia.

International organizations tend to extort Saudi Arabia to get more funding for their projects in Yemen through the file of violations against civilians from the war in the country.
