Yemeni National Army backed by forces of popular resistance has controlled air port of Sirwah, Houthis' stronghold, in Marib northern Yemen, Military source in Marib told Al-Masdaronline.

The source who spoke on condition of anonymity said that the airport of Sirwah has become under full control of National Army and popular resistance fighters. And the army has controlled the main road of Sana'a- Sirwah.

National army along with popular resistance forces have been leading a fierce battles against forces of Houthi armed group along with army forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh in Sirwah southern Yemeni capital of Sana'a. Dozens have been killed from the two sides.
