Yemenis celebrate on Sunday in different provinces, the 54th of 26th of September revolution which put an end to Imamate royal tyrant rule in the country in 1962.
In Marib province middle of Yemen, legitimate government held a ceremony lighting the torch.
The ceremony attended by Chief of Yemen's General Staff, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Al-Maqdashi and a number of ministers and senior government officials.
Hundreds of people and youth took into streets and celebrated the day on Sunday in Taiz province, the city living under siege imposed by forces of Houthi-Saleh military alliance who is considered to aim to restore the rule of Imamate.
The 54th of 26th of September revolution comes at this time as Yemenis are battling against Houthi militia and allied forces loyal to former president Saleh who are both considered to be carrying the same tyranny regime of Imamate era.
Yemen’s September 26, 1962, revolution is a national holiday which marks the day on which the revolution led to the overthrown of Imamate royal tyrant rule of oppression, poverty, illiteracy, discrimination and injustice, established modern Republic of Yemen.
