Saudi-led Arab Coalition forces arrest southern movement activist in Aden

The Saudi-led Arab Coalition forces arrested on Thursday one of the Southern Movement activists in Aden city, southern Yemen, without any charges, while his family are calling for releasing him.

Abdullah Al-Ghanim, father of the activist, appealed to the governor of Aden, Aidroos al-Zubaidi, , and Aden Security Director, Shalal Shayia, to intervene for the release of his only son Maysaloon, who is detained by the security services in the Coalition Camp.

Last Thursday, the security services stormed the house of the human rights activist Maysaloon Ghanem, 38 year-old, in al Mimdarah neighborhood, and took him to a detention center in the Coalition headquarters in ​​Bir Ahmed area, western Aden city.

Maysaloon's father said that he didn't know where his son was detained, until Monday morning when the commander of the Security Belt Forces, Nabil al Mashwashi, gave information about his son's detention.

The father added that the reasons behind his son's crude arrest were still unknown.
