Taiz: government forces attack Houthis and seize new sites

The government and the popular resistance forces launched on Tuesday evening an attack on the Houthis and Saleh forves in al Wafi area western Taiz city, southwest of Yemen.

 

A military source told Almasdaronline that the government and pro-government forces attacked the rebels sites in Sharaf al Aynein area, northern al Wafi, and have seized control on al Safraa hill.

 

It is worth to mention that the Houthis and allied forces had sent on Monday new reinforcements to the strategic al Aynein area, which is overlooking the road between Taiz and Hodeida governorates.

 

Early on Tuesday, the government and poplar resistance forces had seized control on new sites in Maqbana district, west of Taiz city, after fierce fighting with Houthis and allied forces.

The military source told Almasdaronline that the government forces have seized control on a hill in al Awid mount and another hill in al Noba mount in al Abdalah region.

 

The government and pro-government forces also seized control of Ghabari mount in al Kadaha area, and controlled the road that links between al Kadaha and al Waziaha areas, where the Houthis reinforcements come through.
