Taiz: government forces advance in western coasts, and coalition fighters bomb Houthis positions

A military source said that the government forces took control on Tuesday of new sites in the western coasts of Taiz city, southwestern Yemen, after fierce battles against the Houthis and allied forces.

The source told Almasdaronline that the government forces have advanced in al Kadaha and Wahijah areas after they had librated al Jadid area, and took control of areas used by the Houthis for smuggling weapons.

"This progress came after defeating the rebels in most of the eastern areas of Dhubab district".

According to the source, the biggest challenge to the government forces is to advance towards al Mocha city and secure the eastern areas of Dhubab, so as to prevent any Houthis counter attacks from Mawzaa and al Wazeiyah districts

He added that large government reinforcements have arrived in the area, part of which was to secure the liberated areas while the most were preparing to liberate al Mocha.

Meanwhile, the fighters of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition had launched 12 raids on Houthis sites northern Dhubab and in al Mokha, Wajihah and al Kadaha areas.
