A local source and locals said that four al-Qaeda members were killed on Thursday in an air raid launched by a US drone in al Wadhei district in Abyan
Governorate, southeastern Yemen.
The sources told Almasdaronline that the air raid targeted a small car for the al-Qaeda elements in al Mazra'a town, southern al Wadhei district.
The sources pointed out that the raid destroyed the car completely, and four militants were killed.
The bodies of elements, which Washington classifies as the most dangerous branch of the globally outlawed organization, were burned and the car was firing up for a while.
A similar attack by a US drone also killed Thursday morning four elements of Ansar al Sharia, al Qaeda organization in Yemen, in al Saeed district of Shabwa governorate, southeastern Yemen.
These air raids came in a coincidence with intensive bombing on the al Qaeda presumed sites by US drones.
“The US drones have launched more than 30 airstrike on al Qaeda presumed sites in al Sawmah district of al Bayda, and several airstrikes on other sites in al Saeed district of Shabwa and Maughan district of Abyan governorate, southeastern Yemen”.
