Houthis commit over 5 thousand violations, crimes against civilians in Al Dhala – report

A report conducted by a human rights organization in Al Dhala province southern Yemen said on Wednesday that the Houthis-Saleh militants committed more than 5764 violations against civilians during the last year.

 

Waey Center for Media and Human Rights  have reported that 86 people, including two children and three women, were killed, and 291 civilians, including 21 children and 24 women, were wounded in the shelling launched by the Houthis and allied forces.

 

The report added that 90 civilians were abducted from their homes, mainly in Muris and Hamak areas, where fierce fighting has been flaring since months.

 

The Houthis also bombed 18 houses; 11 in Damt, 3 in Rama village, and 4 in Juban, while 135 other houses were either partially or completely damaged by artillery shelling”.

 

The Houthis are still occupying 18 houses and 6 government facilities, civil institutions, and political parties’ headquarters. According to the report.

 

The report also pointed out that 1930 families were displaced from their homes in Damt, Maris and al-Oud villages, and therefore 3690 children were deprived of education, and 700 students stopped studying in Rama and Soun villages.
