Six Houthis, including a prominent leader, killed in battles against the pro-government forces in al Jawf

The heavy fighting between the pro-government forces and the Houthis-Saleh forces resumed in al Mtoun district west of Al-Jawf province in northeastern Yemen.

 

A source in the field told Almasdaronline that the battles between the two parties have flared in al Mtoun centre and Ham mountains, following mutual shelling with artillery and heavy weapons, and after days of similar battles.

 

A leader of the Houthis and five militants were killed in the battles that break out on Monday night and lasted for more than seven hours in al Mtoun, the source said.

 

In Ham mountains, the pro-government forces fended off an attack waged by the Houthis and allied forces, killing and injuring a number of militants from the Houthis, while two government soldiers were wounded.”

 

This fighting came few hours after the Houthis had fired a ballistic missile on al Hazm city, the center of al-Jawf, which fell north of the city, causing no casualties. According to the source.
