A local source in Dhamar city central Yemen said that the militants of the Houthi group and the forces loyal to former president Saleh have abducted a colonel officer after assaulting him on charges of belonging and working for the pro-government forces.

The source told Almasdaronline that the militants assaulted the officer with the riffle heels in front of his two kids and wife at al Jamea checkpoint in the entrance of the city, before they abduct him into an unknown destination.

The source said that the officer, Almasdaronline refrains to mention his name, belongs to Anis area and a member of the former Republican Guards forces of Saleh’s son Ahmed, was taking his wife to a hospital in the city before being abducted.

It is noteworthy that the Houthi militants have abducted dozens of anti-Houthis civilians and military men and imprisoned them, and some of them had died under brutal torture in prison.
