A military source said on Thursday that eight  soldiers, including a senior officer, from the pro-government forces were killed and 20 others wounded by missile shelling launched by Houthis-Saleh forces on a military site in Serwah district western Marib city, east of the capital Sana'a.

The source told Almasdaronline that the Houthis-Saleh militants shelled a katyusha missile on a pro-government forces’ military site at dawn on Thursday.

The source added that the missile had resulted in the death of the Commander of the 3rd Battalion in the 81st Brigade 81, Colonel Abdullah al Rashidi, and three of his security soldiers, in addition to 4 other soldiers of the brigade, while a number of other soldiers were seriously wounded.

It is noteworthy that the Houthi militants, stationing in some of Serwah areas, have been firing Katyusha rockets on the pro-government forces sites in the same area as well, as on the neighborhoods western Marib city, which often results in casualties
