The Sudanese Army said on Saturday that two of its soldiers, fighting as part of the Saudi-led Arab coalition forces, had been killed in battles against the Houthis and forces loyal to former president Saleh in Yemen.
“The Sudanese forces fighting within the Arab Coalition to support the legitimacy in Yemen have carried out a series of operations,” Sudanese army spokesman Brigadier General Ahmed Khalifa al-Shami said in a statement.
“The forces carried out successful operations on Friday and Saturday, and 2 soldiers were killed and a number other soldiers wounded”, said Brig. Gen. al-Shami, without specifying the ranks of the two dead nor the nature or locations of the operations.
