The fighting between the pro-government and Poplar Resistance forces and the Houthis-Saleh forces renewed on Sunday north of al Mocha district in western Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.
A source in the field told Almasdaronline that the pro-government forces had repelled Houthis’ offensive in al Ruwais area, and forced them to retreat to their locations between al Mocha and al Khocha districts.
“The pro-government forces, under heavy cover of artillery and missile shelling, launched a counter-attack and seized five farms northeastern al Mocha.”
Meanwhile, the Saudi-led Arab Coalition aircrafts launched 12 air raids on the rebels’ sites between al Mocha and al Khocha, which resulted in the killing of 12 Houthis and wounding 18 others, as well as the destruction of three military vehicles. According to the source.
On the other hand, the air defense systems of the coalition forces intercepted a ballistic missile in al Mocha city airspaces, fired by the Houthis from their positions in Abu Musa military camp in al Khocha, southern Hodeida province.
