Al-Khalwa village residents forcibly displaced by the Houthis-Saleh forces – source

The Houthi  militants and forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh have driven dozens of civilians out of their homes in the villages of Jabal Habshi district, west of Taiz province, southwest of Yemen, a local source said.

 

The source told Almasdaronline that dozens of civilians were displaced on Sunday from their homes in village of Jabal Habashi, after the Houthis and allied forces have surrounded the village and the snipers targeted the people and their livestock.

 

The displacement of al-Khalwa village inhabitants comes few months after the displacement of dozens of families from the villages of al-Wafi and Tbhshih area, following the siege imposed on their villages by the Houthis.

 

Meanwhile, the 13 year-old Taysir Mohammed Dahwah, resident of al-Sayahi village in the al-Dhabab area, southwest of Taiz, after being targeted by a Houthi sniper from al-Rabaie area.

 

Over the past few days, the Huthis have intensified their sniping operations against civilians, north of Jabal Habshi and west of al-Tazziyah, wounding six women.
