NCIAVHR monitor 7,817 allegation of human rights violation this year

The National Committee To Investigate Allegations Of Human Rights Violations (NCIAVHR) said on Tuesday that 7,817 allegation cases occurred between September 2016 and June 2017.

 

In its third report, NCIAVHR announced in a press conference from the interim capital Aden city that 4,100 Allegations have been investigated, including 2082 civilian murder, 2019 civilian injured.

 

"During the same period, 176 allegations of children recruitment and 362 of planting landmines, which resulted in 138 deaths and 224 injuries, 10 of damaging cultural and historical properties, 16 allegations of attacks on medical staff  and health facilities, and 732 allegations of forced displacement ". According to Yemen News Agency 'SHEBA'.

 

Moreover, the report revealed the results of the Commission investigations according to international law of 693 cases of extrajudicial prosecution, 1037 allegations of arbitrary arrest and enforced disappearances, 386 cases of torture, 384 allegations of houses bombing, and 16 cases related to US aircrafts bombing.

 

On the same side, the Committee member Sabah al Alwani said that the total cases that were monitored and documented until the date of this report were 17,132 cases of 20 different types of violations, and the committee completed investigating 10,594 cases monitored, and hear to 16,191 reporters, victims and witnesses.
