Children demand their parents release in a protest before OHCHR in Sana'a

The children of abductees and forced disappeared into the Houthis- Saleh forces prisons in the capital Sana'a, staged in the World Children's Day a protest to demand the release of their parents.

They appealed to the UN Resident Representative to intervene, according to a statement by the Association of abductees' Mothers, which organized the sit-in.

"The children of the world are celebrating today their world day, yet they are suffering a lot because of their fathers disappearance," the children said in a letter to the UNHCR representative. "They hope to feel the love and warmth of their father like other children."

"They have been in prisons for more than two years and been through very difficult days." They said about their fathers, , and so far many are not allowed to see their parents except for few minutes and behind bars with a distance where we barely hear their voices."
