Safer raises crude oil production to 10,000 barrels per day


A source at Sefar Production and Exploration Company told Al-Masdar Online on Thursday that the company has increased crude oil production to 10,000 barrels per day,

The company has increased the amount of crude oil destined for export to 10,000 barrels per day as planned, the source added.

He continue,  the company will continue to raise production by more than 15,000 barrels per day, without specifying a specific date.

Another source in the state company, said that production had been suspended for the past two days due to the explosion of the crude oil pipeline in Shabwa province, and therefore the company stopped production of crude oil before resuming it yesterday after repairing the pipeline through which oil is pumped to Al-Nashimah port.

In the middle of this month, Safer resumed production and export of crude oil after nearly five years of cessation due to the war, and began transporting 5,000 barrels per day by road to the area of "Ayad" in Shabwa province, from there pumping oil to the port of Al-Nashimah.
