Saudi Arabia announces interception of Houthi drone in southern kingdom

Saudi Arabia announced on Wednesday evening that its Royal air defenses intercepted a drone plane for the Houthis, in the south of the country.

The Saudi embassy in Washington said in a statement published Wednesday evening that air defences in the province of Najran at the borders of the southern kingdom with Yemen intercepted a drone  aircraft launched by the Houthis allied with Iran.

The Houthi militia announced early Wednesday that it had launched an attack with a drone on the Najran airport and that the plane hit its target "two-aircraft hangars."
