Al-Houthi militants released Thursday evening journalists Ashraf al-Rifi and Adel Abdulmoghni, hours after they were detained along with 20 other journalists in the capital Sana'a.
In his blog post on Facebook, Abdul Moghni said they were released an hour ago.
"We were told that there must be a prior authorization and security agreement to hold any event here in Sana'a," he said, thanking colleagues and organizations that have joined them in calling for their release.
This morning, the Houthis stormed an event organized by the Platform for Media and Development studies on combating hate speech in the media, at the Comfort Hotel on Cairo Street in Sana'a, and detained 20 journalists.
But they released the journalists hours later and kept the Abdulmoghni and Al rifi before they left their way later.
