Saudi prosecutors call on the court to execute five defendants in the murder of journalist Khashoggi


The Saudi Public Prosecutor's Office has referred the case of the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi to the court, accusing 11 defendants and instituting criminal proceedings against them, and demanding the execution of five of the defendants.

The Saudi Press Agency quoted the Public Prosecutor's Office as reporting that the action was carried out on the basis of the Saudi-Turkish joint working Group, and the investigations conducted by the Public Prosecutor's Office with the detainees, in this case, 21 of whom were arrested after calling the Public Prosecutor's Office for three persons. others.

The prosecution said that investigations were continuing with the rest of the detainees to get to the truth of their situation and their roles, demanding the killing of an order and initiating the murder of them and the number of (5) persons and the punishment of the legitimate penalties due to the rest.

The Saudi Public Prosecutor's office said that it was still waiting for the Turkish authorities to provide them with the evidence, including the origins of all the sound recordings held by the Turkish side relating to this case, "and that a special cooperation mechanism on this issue be signed with the brotherly Turkish side to provide them with what the investigation results in accordance with the provisions of the regulations and requests their evidence and evidence to support or contradict the results obtained and the Public Prosecutor's Office is still awaiting their request.
