Black flags raised in Ibb during the funeral of two girls killed by gunmen


Hundreds of people in the central city of Ibb on Friday participated in the funeral of two girls killed by gunmen in a conflict between two families in the city.

The clashes erupted on Wednesday between the families of Beit al-Qahtani and Beit Hammadi in the old city of the al-Mashnah district of Ibb the city has evolved,and resulted in  killing two girls and injuring their sister and two others.

Two gunmen, one named Sultan al-Qahtani, fired at Beit Hamadi's house and injured three girls, two girls died, "Jamila Hamadi Ali and Nahla Hammadi Ali", the third girl was transferred to intensive care and was in critical condition, a local source told the  correspondent of Al-Masdar online.

The mourners raised black flags as an expression of their protest against the perpetrators of what is known in the customs of the Yemeni tribes as the "black defect" and the killing of women inside their home at night.
