Government forces announce control of International Road in Sa'dah


The government forces have taken full control of the international road linking Sa'dah City with the Kitaf and Al-Boqa’a in Sa'dah Province, after fierce battles against the Houthis at dawn on Tuesday.

The commander of the artillery battalions of the Al-Tawhid Brigade, Col. Walid al-Waseli, was quoted by the government forces spokesperson, September net website, as having taken control of the remaining  of the Maleel mountain range in the district of Kitaf, and had progressed since morning in the area

He said that government forces had advanced to the asphalt road leading to the city of Sa'ada, where the first military points had been erected.

Al-Waseli confirmed that government forces had found an arms depot at the site of near the road, while the fighting had been halted following the killing and wounding of dozens of Houthi militants.
