Pro-UAE forces release the commander of the special security forces two days after his arrest

Forces calling themselves "the elite" released Saturday evening the special security forces in Al-Khokha district (160 km south of Hodeidah), Brigadier Sadiq Attia, after his arrest since last Thursday.

A local source told al-Masdar online that the UAE-backed forces led by ' Abdul Rahman Sho’ei  ' and ' Murad al-Shera’ee ' have released Attia.

He reported that the arrest of Attia had prevented him from attending the meeting of the Redeployment Committee, after his president, Danish general Michael Lolisgaard, had invited him to attend, as his forces would secure the city of Hodeidah following the withdrawal of the Houthis, in accordance with the Swedish agreement.

The forces loyal to the UAE stormed the Special security forces (formerly Central Security) camp after clashes that killed one person and injured 11 other private security forces, including a serious condition.

The special security forces follow the Ministry of Interior in the legitimate government, while the elite forces of the United Arab Emirates, the most prominent partner of Saudi Arabia in the coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen.

The UAE finances its affiliated forces in several governorates, some of which are called "elite ", and another by  "Security belt ", as in Aden, Hadramawt, Shabwah and Hodeidah.

The UAE is accused of using these forces to implement its own agenda that is different from the government's legitimate policy.
