A truck of explosives seized on its way to the Houthis south of Taiz


The government troops on Sunday seized a truck carrying large quantities of smuggled raw materials, used to manufacture explosives and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which were on their way to Houthis at the south-east of Taiz.

Maj. Wahib al-Yousfi, said on the   35th Armored Brigade Facebook page, their troops seized the truck at a brigade security point in the area of al-Aqroodh that was heading for the Houthi areas in Demnat khadir.

He added that the truck was medium-sized and dedicated to transporting fish, and carried about 243 cartons camouflaged with membranes appear to be parts of small and medium-sized motorcycles hidden under the fish.

Al-Yousfi pointed out that the seized materials are small and medium spherical ferrous materials mixed with TNT and used by the Houthis to manufacture high-impact and extremely dangerous Explosive devices.

He said that it produces a large number of lethal  fragments and is made by the Houthis with expertise from Iran in order to injure as many people as possible in the vicinity of the bomb explosion.
