Minister accuses international organizations of condoning Houthi recruitment of children

Human Rights Minister Mohammad Askar on Wednesday accused international organizations of "condoning the crimes of Houthi militia against children by recruitmenting and putting them on the fronts."

This was in his speech at a workshop organized by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian action at King Saud University in Riyadh on recruiting children, according to the state news agency  "Saba ".

He called on the international community and international organizations to protect Yemeni children from the Houthis ' recruitment.

The minister did not provide information on the extent of the recruitment carried out by the Houthis against children or approximate statistics, and everything he spoke comes in  the context of public discourse about one of the dilemmas of war.

He called the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths to make  the recruitment of children included with the  international diplomatic files, such as the Hodeidah file and the prisoners ' file.
