The leader in Hajur resistance “Abu Muslim Al- Zu’kri” killed in fierce fighting against al-Houthi


A source in Koshar Directorate in the north-western province of Hajjah said that the leader “Abu Muslim al- Zu’kri “ in Hajur resisting  the fierce battles against the Houthis about two months ago, was killed on Sunday.

According to the source of  "Al-Masdar online", Al- Zu’kri was killed with others, following fierce fighting between him and the Houthi militants since last night, where the latter besieged his home and advanced to his position in the mountain overlooking the house.

According to sources in the province, the Houthi gunmen blew up his house and captured all his family members in the Al-Za'akera area.

Abu Musallam was one of the most prominent field leaders that confronted the Houthis over the past years, and he led the confrontations against them about two months ago, before he was killed today following the military gains made by the Houthis in the directorate.

The Houthis had taken control of the al-Obaisah area east of Hajur, one of the main strongholds of Hajur tribes.

In another context, Houthi militants blew up the house of another tribal leader and resistance leaders in the area, witnesses said to, "Al-Masdar online."

They said that the Houthis surrounded the house of tribal leader Ali Flatt, the head of the Reform Party in the Directorate and one of the most prominent resistance leaders in Hajur, without knowing his fate until the moment.
