A child and a woman were killed and four others injured in the city of Hodeidah (western Yemen) in the past hours following the fall of shells and shrapnel as a result of renewed fighting between government forces and the Houthis, according to Al-Masdar online  reporter.

He added that shrapnel from a shell landed in the Saffron neighborhood , killing the child Ismail al-Raimi and injuring three other children who were all playing in the neighborhood.

Another shell landed on a house in the Al-Rabsa neighborhood on Monday night, killing one woman and injuring her sister, he said.
