A Government decision on a forthcoming meeting to present the new "Griffith " plan

Yemeni government officials said Saturday that the government will make a decision on a United Nations invitation to its representatives at the Al-Hodeidah redeployment Committee to attend a meeting to present the UN envoy's new plan.

"The President of the Commission, General Michael Lawless, on Monday will present the new plan introduced by Martin Griffith, the UN special envoy to Yemen," the sources said, quoted by the Middle East newspaper.

He pointed out that the analysis suggests that Griffiths wants to win any small point in Stockholm agreement in order to call for a future round of consultations.

Foreign Minister Khaled al-Yamani has already said that the plan to be presented is a plan that the Houthis have rejected, and they have returned to tell the United Nations that they have accepted it.

UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths said last Tuesday that there had been tangible progress towards agreeing to implement the first phase of the redeployment under the Hodeidah agreement, following constructive discussions with the two sides.
