Four soldiers killed in bomb attack on patrol in Seiyun


Four soldiers were killed and two other members of the first military area were wounded Tuesday morning in the city of Seiyun -Wadi Hadramawt, east of Yemen, after being targeted by an explosive device followed by gunfire.

A military source told Al-Masdar online that an explosive device exploded in a military vehicle when it was on patrol on a road in the city, followed by gun fire, killing and injuring soldiers from the Hadarim Battalion of the first military zone.

No one has adopt responsibility for the operation until the moment.

The incident came after the Hadarim battalion last Wednesday along with a security force in a successful operation that freed a citizen abducted by gunmen for a month and arrested the kidnappers.

The killings and targeting of soldiers are repeated in a state of insecurity experienced in the region during the past period, and the area is one of the areas of armed presence linked to terrorist groups.

Al-Hadarim Battalion was formed with the support of Saudi Arabia within the first military zone and performs special tasks in Wadi Hadramawt.
