A landmine explosion kills two men and a woman south of Hodeidah


 A mine explosion in the al-Tahita district south of the coastal city of Hodeidah on Thursday morning left two men and one woman dead.

One of the victims ' relatives told Al-Masdar online that a mine exploded with a motorcycle carrying two men and one woman, all of whom were killed instantly.

According to the source, the motorcycle was running on a sub-road in the mountainous Tahita area controlled by the Joint forces and the mine exploded, killing the driver of the motorcycle and killing a man and his wife who were riding the same motorcycle used by the Yemenis as a means of transport and travelling by more than one person.

Al-Masdar online has received the names of the victims (Aref Dawood Wahib, Hasan Khadem Durri and his wife).

The source pointed out that the area's farms, roads and facilities were planted with mines, which were heavily deployed by al-Houthi militias before being forced to withdraw from the area, and said that mine explosions were repeated occasionally and caused casualties on a weekly basis.
