Four people injured in clashes between tribal gunmen east of Abyan


Four people were injured Thursday in a clash of light weapons between tribal gunmen in a suburb of the eastern province of Abyan, in the south of the country.

A local source told "Al-Masdar  online " that the confrontations arose against the backdrop of old vendetta problems between the Clans  "Shajera " and  "Bagtayan ", which are based in the rural suburbs of the district of Modia, the second largest directorates of the central region  "Lawdar, Modia, Al-Wadhee’a ", but said that tribal mediation can intervene during The next hours to solve the problem, which left 4 wounded on both sides.

With the presence of the security forces and local authority in Modia Directorate, but tribal differences that develop into armed confrontations are still present, and earlier last month, two  gunmen from Al-Arwal tribe in the same directorate were killed in territory disputed.
