In conjunction with the intensification of the militants. Houthis cut Internet and communications from Al-Oud areas

On Friday evening, al-Houthi militants cut off communications and Internet services from the villages of Al-Oud region, east of August province, central Yemen.

Local residents told the "Al-Masdar online " that the communications and Internet services were cut off altogether on Friday evening from a number of villages in the region, where clashes between government forces backed by the resistance and militants of the al-Houthi group have been taking place for weeks.

This comes in conjunction with intensive preparations for the Houthi militants, who brought in large reinforcements on Friday, stationed in several mountains and set up cannons towards villages and areas, local sources said.

Since their invasion in Sanaa in September 2014, the Houthis have been dominated the "Yemen Net", the exclusive provider of Internet service in the country, and the company "Yemen Mobile", the exclusive owner of the 3g Internet Communications Service.
