Electricity and water outage in the month of Ramadan in the city of Aden

Local residents told the "Al-Masdar online" that a wave of successive electricity and water outages began since the first day of Ramadan, coinciding with the rise in temperature in the southern coastal city of Aden.

Local residents and eyewitnesses told the "Al-Masdar online" that the city's General Electricity directorate has failed so far and for the third consecutive year to improve the level of electricity service in some neighbourhoods where problems of random linkage are exacerbated. The problem of the power outages extended to all governorates of Aden with the absence of solutions on the part of the General Electricity Corporation.

The people said the problems of electricity and water have compounded the suffering of the local people in the city in conjunction with high temperatures, and the difficulty of buying water and electricity generators.

Local residents in Khormaksar told al-Masdar online that the water outage  had re-emerged from Al-Arish, Al-Nasr and Al-Salam neighbourhood, forcing the people to pump water through power-operated "dynamo " devices, but with electricity failures, some people were forced to buy water at high prices.
