Al-Houthi announces targeting of weapons depot at Najran Airport, south of Saudi Arabia

The Houthi TV channel “Al-Masirah” reported on Tuesday that the Houthi group has targeted a weapons depot at Najran airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, causing a fire in the area.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Saudi-led military Coalition said the Houthis had tried to target a civilian facility in the city of Najran with an explosive-drone and that its air defences had been able to topple it.

The al-Houthi group "has attempted to target a vital facility in the city of Najran, which is used by civilians and residents  by a dronecarrying explosives," the official Saudi Press Agency quoted the coalition's spokesman.

The report did not indicate any injuries or damage caused.

"The escalation of terrorist attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia on civilians and civilian installations is a regional and international threat," the coalition said.
