Lahij.. Joint mediation succeeds in the release of the commander of the military police in Taiz

A joint Mediation committee succeeded in releasing Colonel Jamal al-Shamairi, commander of the military police forces in Taiz province, a day after his abduction in the southern Yemeni province of Lahij.

An informed source told Al-Masdar online that the Mediation Committee, composed of the commander of the 4th Infantry Brigade and the director of the Lahij police, continued with the hijacker and released Colonel Jamal al-Shamairi.

The kidnappers demanded the arrest of those involved in the killing of four sons of Al-Subaihah, the first of them, Nasser Ali al-Aghbari and his wife, during the attack on Hawa Hall in Taiz in early March, the source said.

According to the source, Colonel Jamal al-Shamairi is currently on his way to the command of the 4th Infantry Brigade in Taour Al-Baha, after which he will return to Taiz city.

Militants from Al-Subbaiha intercepted Jamal al-Shamairi, on his way with his family heading for Aden, and kidnapped him, in Taour Al-Baha District in the southern province of Lahij.
