Al-Mahrah.. Tribal people intercept Saudi military convoy in Shehn Directorate


Tribal militants opposed to a Saudi military presence in Al-Mahra province (eastern Yemen) on dawn of Monday intercepted a Saudi military force on the outskirts of Shehm directorate.

Tribal sources told Al-Masdar online that the gunmen intercepted the force from a coalition camp in the district of Rumah of the border province of Hadramawt with Al-Mahra Governorate and forced them to retreat.

According to the sources, the Saudi Apache Air force bombed the area around the site of tension without causing casualties.

Al-Mahrah sit-in committee accuses Saudi troops of trying to control Shehn  border port with the Sultanate of Oman.

Tribal militants have previously intercepted coalition vehicles in Shehn directorate and clashed with the vehicle accompanying the force, injuring a number of soldiers and withdrawing of the military convoy.
