Al-Houthi targets Abha airport... Saudi Arabia says 26 civilians were injured by shrapnel in the arrival hall


Al-Houthi group targeted the Saudi Abha airport early Wednesday morning with a missile fired from its areas of control inside Yemeni territory.

Saba news agency reported that the group's "missile force" fired a "cruise" missile and that it accurately hit its target, which led to the suspension of air traffic at the airport.

A spokesman for the coalition forces led by Saudi Arabia said that Abha airport was attacked by "terrorist" and that the Houthi projectile -did not specify its type- fell on the arrival hall where thousands of passengers pass daily, while  Colonel Turki al-Maliki explained in a statement published by the Saudi news agency "The fall of the projectile -till the preparation of this statement- resulted in the wounding of 26 civilian passengers and of different nationalities, including (3) women (Yemeni, Indian, Saudi) and Two Saudi children, of which 8 cases were transferred to the hospital for treatment for moderate injuries, treatment of (18) at the site of which injured with minor injuries, and the presence of some Physical damage to the airport terminal.

Al-Maliki vowed to take "urgent and immediate measures" to deter the terrorist militia, to ensure the protection of civilian objects and civilians, and the terrorist elements responsible for the planning and execution of this terrorist attack will be held in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
